Nokia Lumia 920 And 820 Get Unveiled

The curtains went up. Official announcement of Lumia 920 and 820 phones with the latest Windows Mobile 8 operating system. The 920 comes with Pure Motion HD+ where as the 820 without that, unfortunately. But the Pure Motion HD+ is more or less the same as Clear Black Technology Display. Nokia has been using this some of the devices recently. The 920 also sports a curved glass display just like on the previous Lumia 800 device. Nokia says that the device will automatically adjust the screen brightness depending upon the ambient light sensor.

Now, let us look at the hot features of the Nokia Lumia 920

Operating System:

Well, this is undoubtedly an interesting point. Microsoft struggles through developing Windows Mobile OS. Nokia is trying to get the crown back in the mobile arena. They have recently announced Windows Mobile 8 OS with a lot of upgrades. It is far better than the previous 7 and 7.5 versions. The main draw back with the previous version of the OS is its inability to support Micro SD. The latest OS supports Memory Card Slot and the Dual Core processor. So it’s interesting to see how the fight between Microsoft and Google continues.

Display:

The Nokia Lumia 920 is similar to Lumia 900. It has 4.5 inch 720p PureMotion HD+ display.

Processor and GPU:

The processor on the Nokia Lumia 920 is a 1.5 GHz dual core one. It has Adreno GPU.

Storage and RAM:

The Nokia Lumia 920 comes with 32 GB internal memory. It does not have Memory Slot for memory expansion  But it supports it. May be Nokia thought that there was no use providing a micro sd slot because it has 7GB Sky Drive Cloud Storage. The RAM on the Lumia 920 is 1 GB. it is quite enough, we think.

Camera:

The Nokia Lumia 920 sports an 8 megapixel camera. It features image stabilization. Nokia named it ‘floating lens’. It has Carl Zeiss Optics, 1080p video recording and playback. It comes with an LED flash.

Connectivity:

Nokia Lumia 920 offers LTE superfast connectivity and NFC. (Near Filed Communication)

Extras:

The extra features on the Nokia Lumia 920 are: Wireless Charging, an augmented reality application, Nokia Drive Maps, etc.

The device weighs about 185 grams. And it supports only Micro SIM Card. As you know it is common in high-end phones.
